The rule of thirds by Darren Rowse is a great article that explains the fundamentals and composition princples used in photography. It suggests dividing the frame into grid of 3 by 3 equal parts and placing the main piece of picture along the lines. This techique helps create more visually appealing and balanced images.

Holiday Photo

One tip is to try an out-of-focus photo, especially when taking a photo of lights. Making the photo out of focus makes the photo look really cool and feel dreamy. In this photo, the out-of-focus christmas tree to the side of the picture creates a dreamy feel, and just makes the photo look cooler.

Creative Photo

Creative shots come with a different perspective and allow you to discover the world from that view. For instance, the photo taken through a handrest gives us an exciting pattern and a different landscape view that not many of us will think of discovering. In contrast, the photo on the right is quite ordinary but taken from a different angle, it gives a new dimension to the picture of a plant.

Fall Photography turn in

Something i would like to try for fall photography from the article is portrait photography. I want to take photos for my family and friends for the fall season.

frame within a frame technique is to use frames in front and in back of the subject.

My second creative photo I would like to try is "Play with Shapes". I would like to try this because I love shapes and I think it catches the viewers eye a lot.

Wear And Tear

I really like this photo because everything is monochrome except for the cottage and the grass. I really like the green with the greys. I love all the stones and the wear and tear of the walls and the nature feeling the photo gives.

Golden Hour

One tip I will be using from the article will be using the warm golden hour color to add positive energy to the photograph, for example the photo below has mountains and the golden hour right behind showing through, making the cool feeling from the mountains contrast with the warm feeling of the sun.
